Vision
I prefer not to go to eye doctors, because they depress me. The last time I went, my ophthalmalogist told me: How surprising that you can still see!

None that I know of.
Impact on My Life
I don't consider my disease as very severe. I treat it by ignoring it and I hope positive thinking helps. To me, at least, it does. My colour sense is diminishing and I have trouble recognizing faces, but then I concentrate better and this helps. The negative impact is that concentrating so much I am always very tired and stressed out. Working long hours is also a problem. The worst is that I find difficulties in reading, while literature was always my passion.
Positive Effects
My husband is very close and affectionate. He always encourages me.
Adaptations: I stroll a lot with my dog and find relazation in nature. I adapted myself to the idea that I should only read those books that are really important to me. When I am extremely tired and my eyes hurt, I lie down for a few minutes with my eyes closed. It helps.
Working
My work is very much related to my computer. I don't like to complain about my disease so nobody in my office knows about it.
More About Me
I am a positive person and I believe in what lies inside people. I think everybody must have something good inside. I always try to understand others rather than think about myself.
