Treatment
Have had a total of 22 injections, half of Lucentis and half of Avantis. I was diagnosed in March of 2008
Prognosis
Have a history of the fluid re-occuring so am getting maintenance injections to keep the fluid from reappearing.
Family History
No one in my family has had macular degeneration.
Impact On Your Life
Really have good vision, no wavy lines, no black spot in the center of my vision, so I am very fortunate.
Positive Effects
Went for 8 months at one time without an injection, and then had to get back on the injection routine when the fluid returned.
Adaptations
None needed at this time.
