Myopic Macular Degeneration

Visual Acuity
20/100 in bad eye, 20/20 in good. Have dry MD in good eye however
with a laquer crack.
Treatment
Had two PDTs since being diagnosed in 7/2000. May have another one
soon if needed.
Prognosis or Current State of
Vision
Bad eye distracts good one, some double vision etc. but I am not
complaining since one eye is still good.
Family History
Father is almost as nearsighted as me. He has glaucoma but no MD.
I am about -13
Impact on My Life
Quite a shock. Still have ups and downs about it but am trying to
enjoy my time with a pretty decent vision knowing it will only get
worse.
Positive Effects:
Right now I appreciate more but don't know if I will have any
positive feelings once my other eye goes.
Adaptations:
Just don't drive as much at night.
Work Status:
Still working...a lot of detail number work. Will need to find a
new career (job) if I lose other eye probably. I have no idea what
that would be.
More About Me:
I am married and have two young children...7 and 5.
