I just found out my 11-year-old cousin has Stargart's. She was just diagnosed, but no one else in the family currently has it.
Impact on My Life
I'm married with three children, and I cope as well as I can, but find it very hard to be independent. I have a few friends and family that help me get places, but get frustrated that I have to depend on others sometimes.
Positive Effects
It helps my children be humble and sensitive towards those who need hep and have problems.
Adaptations
I use a CCTV and ZoomText for my computer. I love both things. They help me so much.
Employment
I work part time in a gym daycare and have been a stay-at-home mom for 10 years.
More About Me
I have 3 kids who are very beautiful and healthy, and I love them very much. I can say that there is one person right now in my life that I can almost always depend on, and that's my mom.
