Had one cataract removed two weeks ago, no improvement. Will have

Impact on My Life
The worst thing that could have happened, happened. I have not
been able to drive for the past 3 years, and that takes your
independence away entirely. I enjoyed reading the newspaper, books
etc., and now read only with a strong magnifier. It hinders me in
many ways, but driving is what I miss the most. (PS I could write a
book on that). Also taking care of the check book. Many times I
don't see all the figures. I have a larger Computer
screen.
Positive Effects
Nothing positive.
Adaptations
Working
No.
More About Me
I am lucky to have a husband who doesn't beef about having to take
me everywhere. I was a very active person, but since I don't drive
I am more home bound. Don't play bridge anymore either. I quit
driving on my own. My Doctor said he could not understand why I was
not driving, and I told him, "Because I can't see." The last time I
drove I got very nervous, as it was a shady road, and I was not
sure of myself, so I said "No more". Hate to think of people
driving with little vision.
