Prognosis
I use +16 magnifying glasses to read from as close as 2-3 inches.
But this also takes a lot of time and I have to strain my eyes a lot. This is
possible only with my left eye as I cannot read at all with the right one.
Sometimes I see some black spots in the field of vision.
Family History
No one is known to have this problem.
Impact On Your Life
Every aspect of my life has been badly affected by my vision. I want to do many things which need good vision. So I feel helpless. I go through this everyday
Positive Effects
I have heard that tears are good for eyes (smile)
Adaptations
Although I have adapted quite a lot to reading on computer screens, I don't think I'll be able to adapt myse;f completely to this BIG disability. Perhaps I aspire for noting less than what normal-eyed people can achieve.
Employment
I am a PhD in Engineering and pursuing my career in teaching and research.
