What Does the Low Vision Logo Mean?

The low-vision logo represents the eye of a person who is afflicted with retinal disease. The color red and the veined eclipsing sphere signify macular degeneration; and the smaller, colorless spheres in the peripheral area signify the non-functional cells of retinitis pigmentosa. The color blue represents the healthy vision which remains for some, and the hope for a cure that the future holds.

The low-vision logo is the sole property of MD Support, Inc. Reproduction is prohibited without permission of the copyright owner.
